I grew
up in small town Iowa, went to a small private college in Iowa and
worked in the corporate world as a computer programmer for 13 years.
I was analytical, logical and so very much wanted some magic in my life.
Enter shamanism. Several months after being introduced to shamanism in mid
2001, and after a journey on my own and my very first soul retrieval,
I found myself selling my home and moving to a sweet little cottage nestled in the mountains at 8500 feet elevation
near Boulder, Colorado. This is one of the best things
I've ever done for myself, as the mountains had called to me for many years.
I telecommuted for a few months before resigning from my position.
Once in Colorado, I began my shamanic training and healing and also began exploring intuitive drawing and painting. Having taken and practiced realistic drawing and painting for many years, I found it was becoming uninteresting to me. I was looking for something different. These practices also helped me balance from being nearly fully analytical and logical to incorporating my intuitive, creative aspects of myself. In the years during the transition from my "logical life" to my intuitive or more balanced life, I worked various jobs including: worked in a gift shop in a mountain tourist town, worked at a produce stand, painted interiors and exteriors of homes, dog sat, and helped create an outdoor art exhibit as an artist and organizer. I also did much training with creativity coaching, the law of attraction and embodying fluidity. My own journey of healing and higher consciousness continued with these classes as well as through relationship, being in nature and my own creativity. I love being still and being active in the natural world, especially in beautiful and wild places. I've hiked many miles, mostly in my beautiful "back yard" of the Colorado Front Range including the top of Long's Peak, my first Colorado 14'er! The natural world calls to me more and more, the nature spirits are talking with me more and more. I'm now dedicated to helping others on their life journeys, evolving their creativity and authentic self with my business, Wild Creative Heart™, in one-on-one sessions, mentorships and online classes.
